Amelia
I’ve been tutoring IB MYP Individuals and Societies for around four years, with a particular interest in history. My lessons are fairly conversational because students often understand much more once they have had a chance to argue their point out loud. We work on source analysis, essay planning and using evidence properly. I’m also quite particular about introductions; a clear argument at the beginning usually makes the rest much easier to write.

Sebastian
My background is in physics, and I’ve spent seven years teaching IB MYP Physics to students with very different levels of experience. I’m happiest teaching forces, electricity and energy because there are plenty of everyday examples we can use. I normally sketch diagrams as we talk through a problem, then let the student take over the next one. Before assessments, we work from mixed questions rather than simply rereading notes.

Jeremiah
I tutor IB MYP English and have been working with secondary students for five years. Most of my students come to me for help with analytical writing, particularly when they know what they want to say but struggle to put it into a strong paragraph. I’m quite practical in lessons: we annotate a passage, discuss what is actually interesting about it, then turn those ideas into writing. I also enjoy teaching short stories and poetry.

Evelyn
I specialise in IB MYP Chemistry and have worked with international-school students for more than eight years. A lot of my teaching focuses on getting the fundamentals right before moving into harder applications. Atomic structure and chemical reactions are topics I particularly enjoy teaching. For assessment preparation, I use timed questions and then review exactly where marks were lost and how the response could be improved.

Ava
Hi! I’m an IB MYP Biology tutor and a bit of a biology nerd outside lessons too. I’ve been tutoring for four years and particularly enjoy cells, genetics and human body systems. My sessions usually start with whatever has been confusing at school that week. We’ll go through it visually first, then try a few questions together. I’m also happy to help students organise lab reports and prepare for MYP assessments.

Elijah
I’ve taught IB MYP Mathematics for six years, mostly working with students who understand the lesson in class but get stuck when questions are presented differently. I spend quite a bit of time on algebra, functions and geometry, and I like students to talk me through their working rather than just show an answer. I also make short practice sets between lessons based on mistakes I notice during our sessions.

Oscar
I’m a Biology teacher with six years of experience supporting IB MYP students, both in school and online. Practical work is my favourite part of the subject, so I often use experiments and everyday examples to explain cells, enzymes and ecosystems. For assessments, I help students work out what the command terms actually require and practise writing answers that are scientifically accurate without becoming unnecessarily long.

Stewart
Chemistry made much more sense to me once I could picture what was happening at particle level, and that still shapes the way I teach. I’ve tutored IB MYP students for five years, with a particular focus on atomic structure, bonding and chemical reactions. I use diagrams, quick calculations and plenty of worked examples. If a student makes an error, we trace the reasoning rather than simply replacing the answer.
